Lazy Book Review #1

A couple of things kept me busy these day; hayday and reading. Actually, I started playing hayday many months ago yet I thought it was boring. Then a friend forced me to play it and I got addicted. I keep reminding myself, social games sucked my life out of me. That was what happened during my uni years. But I am grateful that I have plenty of stuffs to distract me from hayday.

So what I've been reading for the past few weeks?

1. Lelaki Sedingin Dia by Syah Shah

I felt blessed when I finally picked up this book at the shop. Its refreshing to actually read something from men's perspective. Its just an ordinary novel yet it allows me to see more in what a man sees and feels in romantic relationship.

2. Thirteen Wedding by Paige Toon

I wanted this book so bad that I almost pre-ordered it and I've been nagging my sister to get it for me when she was in Singapore. But a sister is someone who should turn down your request and left you wailing for not getting what you want. Yes, she didn't get me the book. To think about it, perhaps it was God's way to steer me away from this book as He didn't want me to be disappointed because upon finishing this book, I felt like throwing my iphone! I was so angry because the ending was not what I've expected. I've wasted my time reading unnecessary details  on weddings only to find out Alex left his wife but didn't get the girl (I am so mad that I forgot the girl's name).

3. Yours Truly by Kirsty Greenwood

Another ordinary love story yet funny and inspiring.Two things I learned in this book;
  • It's okay to say NO and its easy if you have the will to do it.
  • Its important to make yourself happy before others.

4. Isteri Untuk Disewa by Syamnuriezmil

I am not a fan of the writer but this book managed to make me laugh and for that I will give myself more chances to read more books from this writer. Please do judge book by its cover because this pink cover gives you the right dose of love, support, happiness, optimism and inspiration.

Till then.

June

Time flies these days, I must say.

I remember when I was in school, I would say to a person next to me "uh, its only 8, 12.30 come fast," sigh. About 2 hours later I would looked at the watch and its only 8.05 in the morning.

Fast forward to today, it's already 11 in the morning. Lunch break in 1 hour and before I know it, lunch hour would end and it only feels like 5 minutes.

I missed the days when life was simple.

This is just another pointless post.

And oh, June 2014 marked my fourth year of working life. I miss school. I miss my parents. I miss having free time. I miss the time when I was young and carefree.

Part of me still can't accept that I am a grown up. Wonder if leaving my job would be good decision? Be a stay at home mom, polish my cooking skill and maybe open up a small tailoring business. Or maybe I just stick to being a good mother/wife first. hehe

Till then.
